Who is this app for?

NatalieLearnsChinese was made for Natalie’s Chinese studies. It is for learners who want to bring their own vocabulary and practice a little each day.

Does it include a Chinese course?

You bring your own words. There is no built-in curriculum, dictionary, or conversational tutor. The app focuses on helping you remember vocabulary you are already learning.

How do the review schedules work?

Pronunciation, character recognition, and optional writing have separate schedules. You rate each due skill from 1 to 5. Lower ratings bring it back sooner; stronger recall gradually extends the interval.

Can I transfer my vocabulary to another device?

Yes. Save a complete JSON backup in Settings, move the file to the other device, then restore it there. Restore replaces that device’s existing study data after confirmation. There is no automatic cloud sync.

Does it import Anki decks or use AI?

The app supports pasted vocabulary and its own JSON backups. Anki package import, AI tutoring, automatic pronunciation assessment, media-card editors, and social leagues are not available in this beta.

How do I install the beta?

Install Apple’s TestFlight app on your iPhone or iPad, then open the invitation link. Not installable yet. Apple’s external beta review is pending. The same link will be used after approval.

A new chapter is almost here.

The refreshed interface, complete vocabulary workflow, backup and restore, and daily reminders are in build 5. It has been uploaded and submitted for external TestFlight review.
